We had a blast today sledding in Andover with my brother and his family.

This is my beautiful niece, Grace.

The ice rink called for some sweet sibling dancing. It didn't last long so I only got one picture of the backs of heads.

At the top of the hill, you have to hang on to your sled so it doesn't slide without you! You also have to plan out where to slide down. Some kids dig out divets in the snow to create jumps, if you don't want to catch air, make sure to avoid these!

After you've slid several times, you climb back up slower. Kinda take your time and dawdle a little.

It really is a ton of fun, kinda like a mild rollercoaster. Now Sarah has a coworker who was sledding down a similar hill, spun out of control, hit a tree, broke ribs and punctured a lung. So it's not all willy nilly safe, you have to be careful.

Luke is laughing because he is about to nail Mark. Mark got upset. Poor Luke!

It's a big hill to climb for such short legs.

Grace is pretty good on her snowboard.

Playtime is over. It's time to dry off,
go eat pizza and all you can eat prime rib at Tanners!

Here's a couple of videos of the kids sliding and snow boarding. I hope you can see them and here their sweet laughter.

  1. Hey Moe, it's Shelby!! (: LOVE the pictures and videos. That cute little hop that Grace does on her snowboard at the end of the first video is so cute. (: Looks like fun! I know what you mean about those snow angels being better there. Here in Texas our snow angels and snowmen get so brown from all the dirt..yuck!
